Most of our activities remain open during Lockdown.

As we enter the new lockdown we’re pleased to say that most of our activities apart from the café will continue to be operational. We’re also really excited that our trainees have been working on a wonderful range of products that we will have on sale over the next couple of months. If you’re looking for presents that are a little different, locally made by talented young people and sensitive to our impact on the environment then keep an eye on our social media and look out for the launch of our online shop.

Here’s a summary of how we are working at the moment:

  • Foundation Training: Our training and work experience for young people is fully open and receiving applications and referrals
  • Childcare Pathways: Our nursery provision is available 5 days a week. If you are looking for a place give us a ring
  • The Learning Tree: Will remain open for school groups
  • Cycle Saviours: Cycle maintenance and bike sales are considered essential services and we will continue to be open Monday to Fridays 9.00 am-4.00pm
  • Growing People We had our last Veggiemail of the year at the end of October and the team are working on exciting developments that will lead to the expansion of our veggie sales in the New Year
  • Urban Believers and Sew and Grow: Are open for orders and are busy be preparing for Christmas sales. Contact details can be found below
  • Think Food: Our Café at Foundation House will not be opening just yet, but the team are cooking up lots of exciting things for Christmas hampers; watch this space!

We are an innovative local charity growing people and community through social enterprise. Our eight exciting enterprises work to ‘co-produce’ solutions to locally identified issues that have a global importance.

The enterprises are staffed by amazing teams of young people who have struggled with mainstream education. Their enterprise work experience is supported by accredited training enabling trainees to build confidence and make good choices for the next steps in life.

Our roots are within the Christian community, but we work, learn and play together with people of all faiths and none; celebrating diversity and welcoming people from all parts of our community.

This video gives a flavour of who we are and what we do; we hope you enjoy it, want to find out more and get involved!

Our social enterprises need support to continue our work.
